Labii At Wuxi Global Forum
After the WuXi Global Forum, the Labii team headed to the StartX info session to learn more about the Startx program and socialize with other entrepreneurs (unfortunately they had moved the ping-pong table for the event). Check out our application video (we had so much fun filming and editing it).
Wednesday, I was fortunate enough to attend the CABS Investor Forum in San Francisco. This was my first investor event of this magnitude and was taken aback by the attendee's kindness and industry experience. There I watched a panel discussion featuring Nisa Leung (Managing Partner of Qiming Venture), Masood Tayebi (Investor of Bridgewest Business Group), Mike Liu (Head Global BD of Hengrui Pharma), Wei Zheng (Co-founder of Suzhou Connect), and Janet Xiao (Partner of Morrison & Foerster), moderated by Greg Scott (Founder of ChinaBio® Group). Greg Scott also moderated Session III of the WuXi Global Forum, but unfortunately we had to leave prior to his panel; I’m glad I got to speak him during the CABS event, on the 33rd floor of the 425 Market Street skyscraper.
After the panel, general social hour took place, and I was able to ask some Life Science industry leaders about optimized research. They all agreed that companies are spending more time and effort refining their research processes to accelerate the rate of discovery, yay research methodology!
Each year, UCSF hosts UCSF Informed Health to discuss changes in the medical industry and what the future may hold for health technology. We decided to spread the word about our ELN and vision at this event and received some incredible feedback. We spent 9 hours engaging with industry experts and potential customers and it was awesome! Here’s a picture of our booth:
With a little camera-time and had the honor of being interviewed by the great Tim Reha. Tim’s a wine-enthusiast, golfer, investor, real-time media expert, and a great character. Here’s a shot of our interview (I will post the video once we have permission from UCSF):
